From the Hot Springs to Your Home
When I moved from my native Quebec to British Columbia in 2007, a friend introduced me to the beautiful, remote and natural Halfway Hot Springs near Nakusp, BC. One soak was all it took — I fell in love.
After that experience, baths at home were never quite the same. I found myself wishing I could bring the hot springs home and recreate that experience in my own bathtub.
In 2010, while exploring the area, I finally found the Upper Halfway Hot Springs. That experience inspired me to begin experimenting with the spring water, searching for a way to transform its minerals into a bath salt I could use at home.
After years of experimenting, I finally succeeded in 2014. Hot Springs in a Bag was born — a mineral bath salt crafted from natural hot spring water, allowing me to bring a little of the hot spring experience home.
Since then, I have continued crafting Hot Springs in a Bag in small batches using natural hot spring water. Over time, local businesses began carrying the product, allowing more people to enjoy their own hot spring experience at home.
The proceeds from Hot Springs in a Bag also help support my continued exploration of British Columbia’s natural hot and warm springs — the same passion that started this journey many years ago.
The Story Continues…
Hot Springs in a Bag began with my love of British Columbia’s natural hot springs, but the exploration never stopped. I continue searching for, visiting, and documenting hot and warm springs throughout British Columbia — discovering new places, learning their stories and seeing where the next adventure leads.
